Woven Arches - Conference call doodles by lisaluera
Woven Arches - Conference call doodles
I doodle on standard yellow post it notes during conference calls at work (I just converted my picture to black and white).  They help me concentrate on what is being said.  You can see the woven pattern is still stuck in my head!

Weave and squeeze
I'm obsessed with these woven patterns right now and figuring out how to manipulate them.

cl2007 :iconcl2007: asked me to do an interview for the Artisan Crafts Club :iconartisancraft:

He did his homework and asked some great questions. Plus you can find out how macaroni art turns into pottery.

Thank you for the interview Lee!

I really could comment on your stuff all day... I notice most of it is "older".... maybe because of new demands on your time... but I would really like to encourage you (if it is not already so) to stay engaged in this craft of yours... don't know if you are star trek fan but so much of it reminds of me of the "cast" of artisans in the Bajoran society... "Turbulence" immediately struck me as the work of a Super Nova... please don't let life get in the way of your artistry... it's wonderful...

Thank you for such a wonderful comment. It really is something that speaks to me more than you know. I was always a "spare time" potter with a "real job" to pay the bills. Then I had two children (a 4 year old and almost 2 year old) which have taken most of my time. They deserve to have my time and I wouldn't have traded it for the world. We are done with the two so I'm really hoping to get back into it in the next few months. My kids are finally old enough to not demand 100% of my time now. I have a studio in my garage but it is under a ton of baby stuff that we need to get rid of etc. It is just a matter of digging out my studio, getting some fresh clay and talking my hubby into giving me some spare time. I taught classes the summer before I was pregnant with my son and it was nice to get a chance to get back into it for a while - it was really fun to teach. I have been itching to get back into the studio like you wouldn't believe! so, thank you for taking the time to comment. Hopefully I will have something new to upload again in a few months.
