A new chapter

Sorry for the double post but for some reason my journal completely disappeared! Which means all of the wonderful comments that everyone left me are gone too. :(

Anyway... to sum it up for those that didn't read the original journal with this same title....

I mentioned in the last deviation that I posted that it will be a while before I get back in the studio again, so I figured I would explain further.

My husband and I found out a few weeks ago that we are expecting our first child. I am due in early February. Due to the chemicals in the pottery studio and the unknown effects on the baby I have made the decision to put my pottery on hold until after the baby is born.

So it's not the end... just a new chapter that deserves some attention. :) Plus I've been sitting around the house bored to death so I'm sure that I will start on a new project soon. Maybe some sewing or crochet. We'll see.

*cl2007 :iconcl2007: asked me to do an interview for the Artisan Crafts Club :iconartisancraft:

He did his homework and asked some great questions. Plus you can find out how macaroni art turns into pottery.

Thank you for the interview Lee!

Congratulations! I'm at the grandbaby stage myself... had kids while pretty young, so hubby and I are still able to enjoy ourselves with the kids out of the house! Remember when they are driving you nuts: Let them live so they will give you grandkids... that's the best, LOL!

Congrats!! As a mother of three (very healthy kids) however, I gotta say that this shouldn't mean you have to put your pottery on hold... Maybe do things differently, but not stopped altogether. I stayed away from certain chemicals and stopped doing any atmospheric firings but other than that, it was business as usual... at least until my belly got too big to reach the wheel :)

Good luck and BIG Congratulations :)
